can you believe I have never had funfetti? Judging from how it gets raved about, I probably should not even start!
No. Don't start. I am the type to bake from scratch but funfetti is a really great box mix. I love to make cake, cupcakes and cookies with it. And now bars! This is my first time making them.
How do you make the bars??? I've made the cookies and they're also great.
Well, this was my first time making them but I made the dough the same way you make the cookies. 1/3 cup oil and 2 eggs. Then I just spread it in on a cookie sheet! Sprinkled a little flour on top to help me spread it, kinda like pizza dough. Ready to bake in 5 minutes. It shouldn't be so easy.
Oh how I miss the old school funfetti frosting with the soft chips in it, instead of the hard sprinkles...
Me too!! I was so bummed when I tried to find it and all they had were the hard sprinkles. Anyone know why they did away with the rainbow chips?
I was so psyched a couple of years ago when I made a funfetti cake with funfetti frosting. But alas. . . the frosting had the stupid hard chips and I was a little embarrassed to bring it to work.
Funfetti is the best ever! It is so good that at my wedding, I had a very elegant looking cake... and then when you cut into it... SUPRISE! Funfetti! =P
Re: Funfetti bars are done... and smell divine

I'd eat one now while it's warm & eat another one later when it's cooled & frosted!

And I thought I was the only one missing those soft chips! I look everytime I buy a funfetti cake mix....but I guess I should give up and move on.
