Funfetti bars are done... and smell divine

Now, the question is- should I cut them and eat one now while they're warm (and because I can hardly wait) or wait until they're cool enough to frost?

To those who encouraged me to make them- I love and hate you all at once.

  • Ohhhhhhhh sooooooooooo jealous! Cut a piece now and put frosting on it so the frosting gets all warm and melty, but wait to frost the rest of them.
  • Please me me a batch... they sound soooo good
  • Oh how I miss the old school funfetti frosting with the soft chips in it, instead of the hard sprinkles...

    this is very good advice!

  • Cut some out now, pop a spoonful of frosting on the plate next to them, enjoy. ;) The rest can wait!

I'd eat one now while it's warm & eat another one later when it's cooled & frosted!

Me too!! I was so bummed when I tried to find it and all they had were the hard sprinkles. Anyone know why they did away with the rainbow chips?

No. Don't start. I am the type to bake from scratch but funfetti is a really great box mix. I love to make cake, cupcakes and cookies with it. And now bars! This is my first time making them.

Well, this was my first time making them but I made the dough the same way you make the cookies. 1/3 cup oil and 2 eggs. Then I just spread it in on a cookie sheet! Sprinkled a little flour on top to help me spread it, kinda like pizza dough. Ready to bake in 5 minutes. It shouldn't be so easy.

And I thought I was the only one missing those soft chips! I look everytime I buy a funfetti cake mix....but I guess I should give up and move on.

I was so psyched a couple of years ago when I made a funfetti cake with funfetti frosting.  But alas. . . the frosting had the stupid hard chips and I was a little embarrassed to bring it to work.

  • my glass of milk is ready! ::waits for a funfetti bar:: Smile
  • Omigosh you are making my mouth water.

Funfetti is the best ever! It is so good that at my wedding, I had a very elegant looking cake... and then when you cut into it... SUPRISE! Funfetti! =P
