A friend of mine is 5dp FET (they were 6 day embryos). Her beta isn't until Monday and she wants to test, but she doesn't want to test too early, I would guess she could test any time but I don't want to give her false info! Thanks!
Married on 3.20.2004. It took 30 month, 2 failed adoptions and IVF for our first miracle. We have had 9 foster kids since he was born and started the domestic adoption process when he was 10 month old, we had 4 failed matches in that time. After our daughter was born we brought her home and spent 2 weeks fearing we might lose her because of complications that came up. But Praise God all went through and she is ours forever! Expecting again after IVF
Well, that would be 11dpo, which could be accurate. But please tell her to keep in mind that if it's negative, that really could mean nothing. Sometimes embryos from FETs can take a little longer to implant. They can lose cells in the thaw process, so that's part of the reason. I think if I'd have tested at 11DPO on my FET and second IVF, I would have gotten a negative, when in fact the HCG just wouldn't have been built up enough yet.
I tested at 5dp5dt (10dpo) and got a BFN. I tested again at 8dp5dt (13dpo) and got my BFP. Based on my beta number, if I would have tested at 7dp5dt then I probably would have gotten a positive as well.
I got a BFN at 5dp6dt. I got a very faint BFP the next day. My betas were low for twins and they were 3 days behind at the 1st ultrasound, but had caught up by the next one and have been ahead ever since. Doctor said all that was due to late implantation! So depending on when they implanted she could get a BFN and still get her BFP.

Re: When can you test after FET?

I waited for my beta which was 10dp FET... the thought of seeing a negative just wasn't worth it to me... my advice is always to wait
I got a very clear BFP 6dp5dt...it's making me teary just thinking about that day!!
Good luck to your friend--it may still be too early to test and she should keep that in mind if she decides to POAS.
