:( I think I have a sinus infection

in 1st Trimester

I have been feeling like a cold was coming on for the past few days, and I woke up around 3:30 to go to the bathroom and had extreme pressure under my eyes and I couldn't breath out of my nose...went to blow my nose and (TMI) green bloody mess.  UGH!  I guess I'll be calling the Dr...it's always something!

Anyone know of anything to help with the pressure and pain until I get to the Dr?

    I've had one for the past two days.  Hot showers have been amazing for me.

    I would recommend using a neti pot. You can get them at your local drug store. I suffer from horrible sinus pressure and it works wonders!

    Hey sweets!  I've had a cold since Monday and it's horrible.  I'm all stuffed up and can't breathe :(  It sucks not being able to take the normal medicine I take.  My SIL is a nurse and she recommended Saline nose drops for any kind of nasal congestion.

    I just got over one. And then the amoxicillin gave me a yeast infection! I'm usually healthy, but I guess being pregnant has a negative effect on good health sometimes!

    I got mine at Walgreens and it came with 50 packets of the saline mix. I am out of the packets and am in need of more. Think I need to head to Walgreens!

    Hey hunny!  Being sick now sucks!  I feel like poo today.  I think I have saline drops at home.  I'll try them tonight as well.  I hope you feel better soon!

    I also recommend the neti pot...it is a little weird at first but once you get the hang of it, it does work wonders!

    I had pressure so bad on Monday that it was making my teeth hurt, then I used the neti pot and I still have some congestion, but the pressure is pretty much gone. If you are really congested, you may have to try it a couple of times to get stuff to come out the other side, gross I know! Warm water helps as well as a little salt. Good luck!
