XP: lightning nips!

i've been getting shooting pains radiating from my nips for about the past day or two. it's worse of course during and after a feeding, but it happens out of the blue as well. they look the same, no more irritated or anything, and i don't feel any lumps in my breasts.

 any ideas?

oh and my supply has gone down quite a bit the past week. i've gone from pumping about 10-14oz a day to having nothing to pump at all.

 

help!

    could be thrush. My nips didn't LOOK irritated when I had it.. but they itched and burned like crazy. My DD didn't have any noticable symptoms either.. but the nystatin cleared it up for me.

    sounds like thrush to me.  You can use lotrimin on  your nipples (wipe off prior to feeding or pumping).  Or else call your doc for some nystatin.  Nystatin is better as it will clear it up for you and DC.
    I give up trying to add my kids' photos. Just know that they are adorable.
