Is it just me...or is Babys Mama not funny

tonight DH and I tried to watch Baby's Mama, and had to turn it off. It was not funny at all. I don't know if it was because they made women going through IF seem so pitiful or what. It just made me sad. I am kinda disappointed since I love Tina Faye.

I had a really hard time summoning the courage to even RENT that movie. The week that it came out DH suggested it when we were at the movie store, and I said hell to the no! I was feeling down and was either on my period at the time or had just recently gotten off. I didn't laugh nearly as much as I thought I would when we finally did rent the movie. IF really does change your outlook. I can't even watch a dumb movie now without wallowing.

I watched it over the weekend since it's on cable right now. I laughed a few times at the beginning when she was seeing babies everywhere and in the boardroom and when she wanted to punch her sister, but I thought she was waaaay too nice and it went downhill pretty quickly after that.

I actually saw it in the theater... It was horrible. I wasn't going through all my IF stuff then so I saw it through different eyes and I still thought is was just a bad, bad movie.

Oh, and don't be too disappointed with Tina Fey... she didn't write it, just starred in it.

OMG I was forced to watch this while on a girls weekend with all my friends who have had 2 babies since I started trying and one who is pg. I tried to distract myself by cooking dinner while it was on but they insisted on pausing it so that I wouldn't miss anything. I was like no that is okay really I can see it, but no I was forced to watch every freaking minute. They kept saying how funny it was afterward and finally I was no it was not funny at all it was depressing. They were like oh we thought it was so funny and I just said well then I guess it just depends on your situation and left.

I absolutely hated that movie and was really irritated that my friends who know what we have been through forced me to watch it or be rude and leave.

We just watched it on Sunday and we didn't like it at all. DH actually fell asleep halfway through it. Of course at the end she ends up pregnant. If only it was that easy.
