I have no experience with cloth... how do you start? I assume you don't go out buying a ton until you find some you like? Do you just buy a bunch and trial?
I was going to do disposables but am now considering cloth... no clue where to start (I have just read the basics)
Re: does anyone want to tell a dummy how to START CDing?
There is the standard folding cotton with covers of the past. But you are right, there are tons of new diapers out there. Basically there are a lot of "one size" diapers that fit a baby from ~10-35 lbs. So once baby is 8+ lbs, you have lots of neat options that will last you a while. Before that, there are newborn CD options.
I would suggest doing a trial from Jillian's Drawers: https://www.jilliansdrawers.com/products/clothdiapers/tryclothfor10/tryclothfor10
I personally have a mix of diapers: I like bumGenius all-in-ones (both deluxe and organic) for daytime use and bumGenius 3.0 one size or Blueberry one size at night. I have no experience CDing a newborn though. People seem to like Kissaluvs for newborns I think.
This thread has a ton of info.
Here is what I did:
Walked in a CD store.
Spent 700$ on diapers, a pail, wipes, soap, etc. ?
Washed them.
Put them on my kid. ?
Easy
?I know most like to have different diapers, I'm happy with just my BGs. ??
hahaha... i like your style!
