1st and 50th bday help
I know, I know...It's 6 months away!
My dad and Isabelle's b-days are just a couple weeks apart so my mom and I are going to plan a huge 1st and 50th bash for them. I'm sending out save the dates in a couple months and need a theme and a witty tag line. I'm SO not creative.
Ideas?

That's sweet! DS and my dad have the same b-day - all I'm going to do is make my dad a separate b-day cake (which will look like a basket of fries). I wish I had some good ideas for you. Good luck!!!!
The only thing I can think of is, "Come celebrate The big ONE and big FIVE O!"
And normally I am really creative with this kind of stuff. Or maybe something about it's the time of your life. Because turning one and turning 50 are both big ones. This one site I saw had this list of questions to have all the guests fill out about the guest of honor. You could do that for both. And have people bring their favorite pictures of each of them. Man, that's a tough one since they're such different types of birthdays. Is there anything your dad really loves that you could play off of - a hobby or something particular that's very him? Or how about where you're having the party, is it at a location that might inspire a theme (park, beach, etc)
The only thing I thought of was to do a 50's theme party since he's turning 50, like a rock 'n roll sock hop. I wonder if they make little poodle skirts for babies.

You could do a generic type of theme like a luau.

cwhip, how do you get them free? Is there a code you have to enter? Or if you order so many, you get the first of that many free? I am wondering because I would love to order some telling everyone we are having a boy, or for other stuff too. Thanks!
