Play Mat ?

We have one play mat that is really boring.  I'm thinking about getting one with more stuff on it but wondering if it is worth it.  At what age did your DC quit using theirs?  Which one do you have, do they love it?

    Mine still use theirs we have the Baby Einstein one (the one with the ocean animals) and we have the Fisher Price one with all the jungle animals on it.  They are both great.

    we still put ours on the play mat but it's not nearly as entertaining for them as it used to be.  now they just grab the toys and yank them off the hanging thing and chew on them.  they're much more entertained by the jumperoo or exersaucer.  they probably got too old for it about a month ago but I still use it when I need to set one down while I change the other's diaper or something.

    we have two... the baby einstein one  which was a gift and I don't love.  that being said I'm kind of anti flashing lights/sounds stuff so we don't use the musical star (except in case of emergency) because I feel like it's overstimulating.  since we never use it when we DO turn it on they're captivated.

    we also have the one from ikea.  I like that one way more.

    We have 2. One of them has higher cross bars so they have to really stretch to reach the toys.  They still use them.  Keegan is content to play on it for long stretches of time while Brady rolls circles around him!

    We have the baby einstein one with the star that lights up at the top, this play mat has been a Godsend for me. It was like crack to the girls once they reach 2 months old and on, they would watch the motion lights on that star for long stretches so I could get things done with the other one if I needed to. We just put it away this last weekend but they really have not been on it for about 2 weeks now. Ever since they started sitting on their own to play with toys they are no longer interested in laying on it looking up at the star and the hanging toys, so we cleaned it up and put it away for sale.

    I highly recommend this mat. I bought mine at my multiples club consignment sale, it was one of the best things I purchased for the girls before they were born.
