My twins were 3 mos premature. Next month is their 1 yr birthday but size-wise and developmentally they are basically 9 mos. Their pedi said if they were on the charts for their size at 1 yr. she'd consider letting them slowly go to whole milk. My son will most likely be on the charts or close to it. But my daughter is another story. We have to actually start adding vegetable oil to her food for a calorie boost and her GI doc basically said that she shouldn't switch until her adjusted birthday in August.
SOOOOOO...I'm going to need motivation to keep pumping. This last leg is going to be hard for me with summer coming up. Oh and they already do get some formula so that's not really the problem except that it would cost A LOT if we switched completely especially since my daughter drinks Neosure and would have to get it mixed to 27kcal.
UGH...sorry this is so long...I just needed to vent.
Re: Motivate me to keep going - EPer
NEVER quit on a bad day. If your son goes to whole milk, can you at least slow down? You won't need as much milk, so your supply could take a hit. Just a thought.
Remember, you've done so GREAT! I can't imagine EPing for twins as long as you have. It's hard enough with just one.
hang in there. you are doing a great job.
one day at a time is right. i am losing steam too. EPing is hard work. Mad kudos for you doing it for twins.

You can do it! We're all here for you, hopefully you'll be able to at least slow down a little bit. How many times are you pumping now?

Thanks ladies. That really makes me feel better.
jerseygirl - I pump 5x a day now and get 40oz - a little less than they consume in a day. I hope if my son can start taking whole milk that I can drop a pump.
