While many think Tuesday originated because that was a day in which stupid questions seemed far more likely to be posted, that is actually not entirely the case.
Many, many moons ago, there was a funny lady who posted on here regularly. Her name was Kalsbabymama, Kals for short. She, along with many others, got tired of the repetitive questions that seemed to ask for information that a mere message board of mortals would be unable to answer accurately.
Questions such as - "When should I test?" "How long until ovulation?" "When will my husband be ready for kids?"
Feeling a wee bit snarky, Kals began answering these unanswerable questions with a brief response. To wit, "Tuesday."
No matter the question or the timeframe, the answer was always "Tuesday."
And thus, Tuesday became synonomous with dumb questions, and then, one random Tuesday, there seemed to be an onslaught of particularly uneducated posters with seemingly silly questions. And someone pointed out the irony of it being Tuesday, and Tuesdays as we know them came to be . . .
(edited to correct a glaringly split infinitive)
Re: The history of Tuesday, as I learned it.

::sits 'round the campfire to listen to the tales of yore::
Let's try this again...
This. And a fit of giggles.
Makes liz a smore
So eloquently put!! love it...
::passes out s'mores
Seriously, someone had to tell me the story, because I only remembered the influx of stupid questions on a Tuesday, but when they did, the little lightbulb went off and the flood of Kal's 'Tuesday' responses came back.
Given how prevelent it seems to be on thebump now (I'm sure that somewhere, Kals is pleased), I wondered who all remembered the whole thing. I definitely didn't!

I didn't remember until you reminded me.
Does anyone remember the defining points of a GBCBOTB? Someone put them all in a post (maybe Olive?). That was almost a year ago though. I remember a few, but not all of them.
::snuggles up and begs for smore to call my own::
That made me nearly howl with laughter. Fortunately, I was able to clap my hand over my mouth to stifle it.

Interesting, I never knew exactly how that happened. I only learned of Merm, cat piss and some of the other classics by lurking since they were before my time.
Where is Kals anyway? I feel like I haven't seen her on in a long time.
She posted last week on April Fool's Day. She is home, caring for Gote, who is over a month old now, iirc. She posted a pic and he is lovely.

Awesome! I'm glad they are doing well.
Is it an octodog??

You should totally teach history. That was fascinating! I remember Kals, I missed the Tuesday stuff though...
I feel ready for the AP BOTB test now.

You'll need a calculator as well. There will be math questions such as:
If you've been taking the pill for 2 months, and you took knockoff brand nyquil for 3 days, and your period is due in 8 or 9 days, how quickly will the train you're on reach baltimore?
LMAO..I just shot coffee out my nose (and my allergy symptoms are all clear now..ty!)
My BA is in history, and if I go back for the MA, it'll be in history as well.
