This may be TMI, but maybe it will help someone.
Shortly after my BFP I started having diarrhea everyday, throughout the day. It was really uncomfortable, not to mention embarrassing since we have one women's bathroom (as in ONE toilet) for a staff of 75+ ladies.
I looked online for info to no avail. Most people suffer from constipation, I couldn't find anything about diarrhea. Four weeks passed and it didn't get any better. I looked online again and I found a thread on some random pregnancy forum. About 10 pages into the post someone wrote that most pre-natal vitamins have a stool softener in them, the ingredient "polyethylene glycol".
I checked my bottle of Target PNVs and sure enough, polyethylene glycol was listed in the ingredients. I don't understand why the mfgs don't write something on the bottle like "with stool softener" or something. So as soon as I stopped taking the PNVs the problem went away.
I am now searching for a PNV without the ingredient, but so far I haven't had any luck so right now I'm just taking folic acid.
I confirmed all of this with my OB today. If anyone else is suffering from this I hope the info helps!
Re: PSA about Pre-Natal Vitamins & Diarrhea
I assumed that the vitamins were the cause. I take mine at night which helps a lot that way I only have the issue once in the am.
Great to know! I looked at mine and they don't have that ingredient:

I have been very happy with them!
They are called:
Life Fitness Prenatal Multi Tablets :-)
