Has anyone been unable to finish 3-hour glucose test?
I had my 3-hour this morning and couldn't finish it. I drank the drink and almost immediately started feeling awful, and I projectile vomited the drink up 57 minutes in to the test.I also got a wicked, gushing nosebleed at about the time I started throwing up that wouldn't stop for quite a while.
The lab tech called my doctor's office and the nurse said that she was delivering a baby and to call this evening to see what she wanted me to do. The tech said that she would either make me repeat it or that she may use this as an indicator that I can't tolerate the glucose (so GD I guess).
Has anyone else been in this situation? What did your doctor end up doing? I know I will speak to her later, but I am so upset and embarassed for barfing all over the lab.

were you totally fasting? if you were perhaps drinking that on an empty stomach was too much for you?
You don't really need to fast- you just don't want to eat carby food before the test - ie) both times i took it I had eggs with cheese on them for breakfast and passed..... so my stomach was not totally empty and the drink didn't make me feel sick.

I didn't have any trouble with the drink, but my mother threw up every time she had to drink it (and she had 4 of us!). I have no idea how she eventually got it to stay down, but she never ended up with GD for any of her pregnancies. The drink itself just didn't agree with her. I'd try eating something beforehand like the PP suggested and maybe if they offer a different flavor, I'd try that. I guess some places have orange or fruit punch, both of which are probably nasty, but it's worth a try! Good luck!
