  • You obviously need to brush up on your handbook. Pay close attention to "The Douchey Husband" requirement as well.
  • What??!!! Screw that!  BF is the one thing I'm good at so no offense to anyone that has had difficulty but it's been fairly easy for me.  I'm taking this opportunity to AW my breastfeeding skills because my baby doesn't STTN and has a meltdown everytime I attempt to put her in her car seat.
  • no...i just think it is hard for some people to be told it is "common sense" to be able to breastfeed. Me being one of those people, i wasnt sucessful and i still feel guilty!  I think you should be able to talk about if you are sucessful or not....but i dont think you should have to diss people if you are one who was sucessful. But oh well, not much you can do....it is the internet.

    exactly
  • In mod's defense, she did say, "once you have it down."
  • You sound like MarryMeMyLove from a month or so ago on the BFing board talking about how it is your fault if you can't BF. To each his own, but there is no reason to make others think it is their fault when they are putting every effort in to feed their LO breastmilk and it sometimes doesn't work. Has nothing to do with common sense!
  • I know, that is what sucks about this board. I never dare tell people that DS latched and breastfed like a champ from day one and we have never had any issues apart from his milk allergy. I feel like I'll be lynched for admitting that or telling pregnant people that some of us have it really easy so don't go into it thinking it will be terrible like I did. Of course I know how lucky I am and a lot of people have issues, but this board leaves you to believe EVERYONE does

yes i did!  i never said it should be instinct or easy from day one, no way.  i was more referring to people who are engorged, then pump or who have 'low supply' and are supplementing. i mean come ON

  • Key words people "ONCE YOU HAVE IT DOWN".

Supplementing during a growth spurt = dumbest thing ever. Feel free to flame. If you seriously having problems keeping up, look at your diet and make sure you are drink enough.
