I didn't get anything off my registry at my shower. Just clothes. Lots and lots of pink clothes in mismatched size/seasons. So we've been buying all the items off our registry as we've come to need them. But it's gotten me thinking....
What did you have to purchase that would've been helpful to have gotten at your shower? Were there any gifts that would've been more useful than what you got?

Has been my lifesaver. In the last few weeks DD has begun to play with the toy bar.

Has also been indespensible.
less clothes and more stuff off the registry. Like you we got a lot of clothes that won't work. She got a ton of NB outfits that just weren't practical and she didn't even wear NB sizes for long. And, the sun dresses for when she is 12 months in February are great.
We ended up buying a lot of things off the registry that I thought we would get like the diaper genie, changing pad and cover, monitor, etc. But, oh well. I am grateful I had people who were generous enough to throw us a shower or attend.
Less baby wash cloths would have been nice...I usually end up using our wash cloths just because they are bigger. Takes a lot less time to clean her off!
I would have LOVED to have gotten a really cute baby book. the one I have is so boring and I am thinking about going out and buying a new one for each girl.
I wish I'd registered for more bottles - but I couldn't have known that I would need them until DD came early and I couldn't establish BFing.
