What classes, if any, are you taking?

Sorry in advance about this not being a clicky poll - I can never get the stupid things to post!

I was just curious - what classes, if any, are you taking to get ready for L&D, baby coming home, etc.? If you're reading any great books, please recommend! TIA!

I took childbirth and I have breastfeeding next week. The birth classes ended up being fluff, but I hear the bf classes are invaluable. I am readind The Happiest Baby on the Block and loving it. We'll see how that works out.

I didn't take any classes. Check out youtube for videos. They are suprisingly informative (for you) and graphic (for DH - so he knows what to expect).

With my first PG we took an infant care class and a general childbirth prep class that included a lot of different childbirth methods.

This time around I'm taking a "second time around refresher course" thingy

I haven't taken any classes, althought my OB/GYN suggested takingthe Epidural/Cesarian class, and the Breastfeeding class. But I've read about every pregnancy book known to mankind; and some of them include: 'What To Expect: When You're Expecting', 'User's Manual To Little Boys' (they have one for girls, too.), and 'The Mother of All Parenting Books'. Check them out!

We took a 7 week childbirth session that had a breastfeeding and newborn care class for 2 of the weeks.

We're taking breastfeeding and babycare basics. We were signed up for a childbirth class (just a general overview of what to expect), but I have to cancel it because it's not going to work with DH's school schedule.

we only took the bradley class

as it gets closer i might take a class or attend some la leche league meetings. im reading the womanly art of breastfeeding now.. and might skip the class. we might also do infant cpr.

We are taking a prenatal yoga, childbirth class, and breastfeeding class. I have watched the Happiest Baby on the Block DVD (Better chance at husband actually retaining material!) and I am listening to Babywise on CD.

our birth center has us scheduled for 3 (2hr) childbirth classes along with a 1hr waterbirth class and a 1 hr breastfeeding class. in speaking with a local bradley instructor in our area, she said those classes would totally get me prepared for childbirth- she took them and delivered at the birthing center with her last child. so, i guess i am confident that i will learn what i need to.

We took a Breastfeeding and a baby care class, DH is taking a Daddy's boot camp. We are also taking a Baby CPR class, but not until after the babies are born. We couldn't get into any of the classes before, they have been booked for months! Crazy!

I also bought The Baby Book by Dr. Sears and What to expect the first year.

None this time...but when pg w/ #1 DH & I took

-Infant CPR, first Aid

-Baby prep

-Birth classes

I enjoyed them all but I thought the infant CPR was the most important--I actually want to take that again. The baby prep was fun & the birthing class was pointless really--they didn't really give you enough to have a natural birth experience--I ended up getting induced anyway & got an epidural-- DH & I laughed through a lot of it...we were pretty obnoxious but it was just so cheesy.
