I know people say that babies develop at their own rate, but I'm starting to get worried. DS was rolling from tummy to back around 3 months. He stopped a couple weeks later and there's been no rolling since. He use to come really close to rolling from his back to tummy, but he never did and even those efforts have seemed to stop. I'm just wondering if anyone else has a baby that didn't want to roll.

DS sort-of did the same thing, except he didn't roll tummy to back until 4 months - did it a few time, then decided it wasn't for him.
Then one day (right at 6 months) he rolled from back to tummy when I wasn't looking! Now he can't stop - he loves to roll, but gets mad if he is a little tired and can't roll back from tummy to back. He still is not a fan of being on his tummy which I think will delay the whole crawling process...?
Same thing here too...DD rolled from tummy to back a few times around 3 months, then stopped. In the past few weeks she's started doing it about once or twice a day. She still doesn't roll from back to tummy, but for a while looked like she was really trying. She hates being on her belly.
I never crawled and went right to walking so maybe that's what she's going to do. I also agree with the poster who said that if DC is sitting (or getting close to it) then DC is on target regardless of whether or not DC rolls.
DD did the same thing. She rolled belly to back exactly at 3 months, and didn't really roll again until 6 or 6.5 months. I think she was just content w/doing what she was doing and had no interest.
Once she did start rolling though, she was across the room in the blink of an eye. He'll probably do it all at once and then wont want to stop!
Also, I could be wrong but I THINK I read that bigger babies tend to roll later... I forget why exactly, but I'd imagine just because there's more weight to physically move!
DD is cloth-diapered so we always joke that between her fluffy bum and neverending thigh rolls, it's no wonder she can't gather up enough strength to flip herself over.
