1st birthday gift help

Hi Ladies -

My sister is moving back into the city after a few years hiatus and I'm trying to figure out what to get my nephew for his 1st birthday. I'd planned to get him a big baby pool before I knew they were moving out of the 'burbs. What toy/item can your DC not live without? I was thinking of one of those Kettrike bikes...

    that would be an awesome gift!  But he prabably won't be able to ride it for awhile. DS has those push buggy's and he loves it. Also we have the anywhere chair from pottery barn that he loves.
