What's the longest your LO has gone without pooping?

DD just went 6 days last week. The doc said it was normal especially since she's EBFing but like every new mother, I started to worry. On day 6 when she finally did go, it was the mother of all diaper blow outs. And we were travling in the car to Chicago. Talk about gross.

I was just wondering how long was normal, dd hasn't gone since Friday, this is the longest so far. I'm waiting for the blow out.

Mine's gone 3 days and we implemented the thermometer and then prune juice to finally uncork her - and ditto on the mother of all blowouts situation.

BTW: your daughter is absolutely gorgeous! Such a girl with those eyelashes!

Yeah the doc said up to 7-8 days is completely normal but to expect a HUGE diaper at the end. And my God it was huge. lol And then she had two huge ones to follow up. lol

I thought that too...but apparently the absorb so much of the nutrients from the breast milk that sometimes there is little waste. That's why I started to worry after day 4. lol

By the time he was three weeks old my son started only going every 2-3 days. Now it is once every 3-4 days.

Wow! We must have a really good pooper because the longest was a day and I thought she had a lot after that! I can't imagine anything longer!

6 days, which was today.

She went Monday night and then finally this afternoon. She had two poopy diapers, but I thought they would be bigger.

DD used to poop a ton of times a day though. Not big ones...but just little poops and a few big ones. Around 7 weeks she slowed down.

Ditto. Maybe it'll slow down when he's older, but I just changed his 5th poopy diaper of the day.

I think the longest we've gone is maybe 8-12 hours. DS use to go every feeding. Now he goes every other. His doctor said 10 times a day to once every 10 days is normal. I EBF.

In the beginning, yes. ?After a few months, it starts slowing down.?

Sarah started doing once a day around 3 months, and is now every other day. So far we haven't gone more than 3 days (which is right now). ?I am hoping she is in daycare when she lets that one loose!?
