do you ever discard temps?

I've got a serious outlier that was caused by excessive drinking/not sleeping for more than 2 hours/getting over a cold.

It clearly doesn't fit.

I've never discarded, but I haven't had an outlier like that in ages.  I usually just let it in there.

Thoughts?

    I think I have once.  I would leave it though, unless it's going to through off the day your chart thinks you ovulated.  If it's not going to mess with that, then just leave it.

    I only discarded temps when we were on vacation in a different time zone.  I'm an insomniac & usually wake up @ 5;30am regardless of when I go to bed; I usually then go back to sleep if I don't need to go to work.  I don't really drink (maybe a glass of wine a month) so that's not an issue for me.  If a temp looks weird to you, IMHO, it probably is & you can discard if it makes you feel better.

    I'm ignoring the whole first have of my chart. I think my thermometer was f-ed up. I have a new one and my temps seems to be more steady.

    Usually when it's going to be that jacked up though, I don't even bother temping to begin with.

    Yeah I don't usually temp either.  I'm not sure why I did.

    I had one this past cycle that was TOTALLY out of place. I just left it.

    I used to discard temps when I drank a lot or traveled to different time zones (only if it was 2 or more hours off).?

    I discarded one this cycle because I had been drinking and it was waaaay up.  I don't know that it would have made a difference in my chart, but I just wanted to discard it.

    I discarded one this cycle because it seemed out there on its own and I was sick with strep throat for a few days.
