What do you use for noise/music for bedtime for your babies? I have seen sound machines at baby stores but I'm wondering if we should just do a CD player instead. Or maybe there's something amazing out there that I don't even know about

What works for you?

We also use the sound spa on the rain setting. Just a tip - put it across the room from your monitor or that's all you'll hear, rather than the baby!
And yes, we're addicted too. Several months ago I was really sick and slept in the guest room so I didn't wake up DH by coughing all night. I couldn't sleep because it was too quiet! I missed the white noise over the monitor!
I've read that white noise generators can negatively impact hearing development of an infant, so we're not planning to use anything.
Granted, reaserchers think the most damage is done when the sound is too close to the crib and/or loud, but we're hoping to get away with nothing but quiet hum of the ceiling and AC/heat.
