AW: We got our state return!

Party!!! Woot-woot!

I was so worried we were going to get an IOU like a lot of people are. This money helps out sooo much, with me not working and all.

I wonder how they are deciding who is getting their return and who is getting an IOU?

 Now I am off to BRU to buy our pack n play!

P.S.- This changes NOTHING about my feelings towards my governor.

    If we did end up getting an IOU this year, I was contemplating just sending one right back at them this time next year. Think it will go over well?

    LOL we just got our return too.  Stupid CA!!!!  We also got a bill from the state for $20.00 from a miscalculation from last year's taxes.

    I was thinking I should send them the $20.00 and also include a bill for all the interest and penalties that they should have been charged since I had to wait so long for our return this year!

    Why is it, if we are late, we get charged all kinds of penalties, but it is okay if the state is late?????  Grrrr....

    From what I've heard, CA was only threatening the IOUs because the budget hadn't been passed.  Once the budget finally passed, I heard that they weren't actually going to send out the IOUs.  They just raised taxes yet again to cover what they owe us.  So basically we are paying for our own tax returns....LOL.....it makes my head spin just thinking about it!

    YUP!!!!  So don't get too thrilled with that return you got....you will end up giving it all back by the end of the year anyway!!  Stupid taxes.

    I think Cali has a 3 month deadline after April 15th to fulfill all IOU's that were issued.
