What monitor did you end up getting or would recommend? I think that is one of the last things we have to get before the baby gets here. Thanks for all your help.
i love our angelcare monitor! it has a sensor pad that goes under the crib mattress which can detect breathing. so it alerts you if the baby stops breathing. gives you a lot of peace of mind on those first nights when you're shocked that DC slept all night!
We got the Summer brand one with a small video color/b&w screen. So far DH and I have only played around with it but the night vision seems good. We have to find just the right place to mount it to see baby though.
We've registered for the Sony 900. Baby Bargains gave is good reviews, it's not too expensive, and it's not over the top.
I originally wanted the Angel Care movement monitor, but decided it was too much money and I didn't want that false security. The reviews I read mentioned alot of false alarms on the monitor that just scared the parents out of their minds to the point they couldn't sleep at night.
