WTF Rocket chemical found formula

I was just watching the news and it said that Traces of rocket chemical found in some brands of baby formula. WTF did anyone else hear anything about this?

    LOL!!!!  I must be drinking the water that has the chemical in it, because DS is BF and has a rocket load of gas!

    Didn't you hear even some of the water supply has the chemical make up of rocket fuel in it... lol.

    I've been gone all day, so this is the first I've heard of it. I think it's kinda shitty they don't tell you what brands. So are all the ffers switching to soy and rice based formulas for now?

    Ok apparently i was not on earlier today or I would NOT have posted this!!!!!!!!!!! Yes I heard it was in the water but Im not nearly as concerned w myself as I am my son. (plus its less harmful to us)

    ok, in all seriousness, there are a lot of us on here that ONLY ff, so it's not like we can suddenly put our dc's on our boob.  And no, i'm not planning on completely messing up ds's stomach by switching formula on him again to a soy or rice based since it's in that too, just not as much.  and if it could be in the water anyways, then what difference does it makes since I mix the formula with water.

    I think the concern is over the amounts of perchlorate. It's found in drinking water all over the country, so there are a lot of babies that are being subjected to this chemical from two sources, and in amounts not considered safe by the EPA (which if you ask me, tends to set "safe" limits too high anyway).

    From what I heard it was only in powdered. I stick to liquid.  FOr those who supplement you could always switch to the smaller ready made formula bottles.

    everything has chemicals in it. everything causes cancer. gotta pick the battles.
