Pumping at work?

I'll be going back to work soon and am trying to figure out what I'll need. ?I have a pump already and have been trying to get a freezer stash going. ?I work 12 hr shifts, so I know I'll need to pump every 3-4 hours which shouldn't be a problem. ?My question is, do I put my milk in the community fridge, or should I bring a cooler bag with ice packs, and would that even keep everything cold for 12 hours??

Then the pump parts... wash with soap and water after every pumping session (possible, but no where to leave them out to dry), or keep them in the fridge between pumps, or buy enough extra parts to use a clean one every time and then wash them all at home that night??? ?Thanks!

    I'm at work for 9 - 9.5 hours, and I use a fridge.  In your case, I'd store the bags/bottles in the community fridge, inside the cooler bag you use for transport.

    I keep the pump parts in the fridge between sessions.  I have the Medela wipes, but I've only used them a few times.  I don't wash and sterilize everything until I get home.  BTW, I have extra parts for emergency back-up, but not to avoid extra washing.

    I'd put the milk in a bag or something int he fridge. I wouldn't just put it in the fridge on it's own.

    I'd dry the parts w/ a paper towel.  I've also used wet parts before.

    Best to keep it in the fridge, I think, in some kind of opaque bag.  I don't wash pump parts at all in between sessions.  You can keep them in the fridge and then just wash them at night.  I recommend getting an extra set of parts so that you don't have to wash every night.  I throw mine in the top shelf of the dishwasher (we have a little basket for the small parts) at night.

    I would keep it in a bag in the fridge.  I'm going to have to do that.  We have theives in our office that will steal your coffee creamer...I don't want anyone using my own personal batch!

    The fridge I have easy access to at work is disgusting and I won't even store my own lunch in there.  I keep a cooler for my own lunch, and I put my BM in the cooler.  BM is good in a cooler for 24 hours.

    I would put the milk in a cooler bag and then in the fridge.

    I don't do anything to my pump parts between sessions - I jsut was everything when I get home.

I pump twice and store the bottles inside a grocery bag inside the community fridge to be discreet.  I keep the cold pack for my cooler in the freezer.

    I wash with hot water and keep them in a dishwasher box by Munchkin from Target inside my bag.  I wash with soap and hot water the last pump of the day and leave everything at work.  I blot them off with a paper towel and have no problem with moisture.

    The washing is sort of time consuming.  I've been thinking about getting an extra set of horns and adapters to make life easier.

    Washing is very time consuming!  If you're pumping a lot, it is definitely worth the extra set of parts.  I thoroughly wash my pumping parts daily, and I EP.  I will use the quick wipes at when I'm at work to clean 2 sets of pumping parts during the day @ the same time, and then at night with soap/water.  The quick wipes are expensive and not the greatest at cleaning, but it is better than having to clean my pumping stuff in the bathroom/science lab (I teach school).
