Philadelphia Babies

::forevermorgan::

Congrats on the arrival of Brynn!  I have been thinking about you and checking here to see if you would post.  How's it going?

Re: ::forevermorgan::

  • Thanks!  We're doing pretty well.  Adding another baby to the mix was a lot easier than I thought it would be.  JP loves his baby sister so much; it's too cute.  Our biggest challenge right now is acid reflux.  Someone messed up (the pharmacy, the insurance company, the pediatrician's office?) and  it's holding up our prescription for Prevacid.  We have to make due with Zantac for now and it's not working. Sad

     How are you doing?

  • I am so happy to hear that the addition of Brynn has been relatively easy.  Your lil' ones are really cute!

    My nephew (2 months old) has acid reflux too and it has been pretty much a nightmare for them.  He is fussy pretty much all the time.  The doctors just up'd his dose of medicine but now they are dealing with constipation.  I know she is feeling a bit frustrated by the whole situation.  We are going to watch him on Saturday night for a few hours so my DH and I will get some practice.

    We have finally decided to start TTC ourselves.  It is very exciting!

    It looks like from the introductions below there are quite a few girls from the same area as us.  (Avondale, Oxford, etc.)

  • I am totally butting in, but CloudNine, I just wanted to say hi!  I totally remember you from back in the knot days.

    How are you doing?  Best of luck with TTC!

  • Congrats with TTC and good luck!  We were so lucky to get pregnant right away with both babies; I can't imagine how hard it can be for some people.  Hopefully it happens for you just when you want it to.

    Acid reflux is a nightmare and it seems like all babies have it 'nowadays'.  DD has it way worse than DS did. Like your nephew, DD is fussy a lot.  If she's not sleeping she's crying and spitting up.  Luckily, she sleeps a lot.  I don't know what I'd do if she really did cry ALL the time.

    I'm always surprised when I see 'local' people on here because I feel like I live so far out of the way.

  • It is funny that for so many years you prevent pregnancy and then when you're finally ready, it can take awhile.  I hope it doesn't for us but then again who does, right?  Tongue Tied

    That is great you DD sleeps a lot because my nephew does not.  I was just talking to my SIL yesterday and she said he had not taken a nap at all.  UGH!  I feel for her.

     Maybe one day we can have a 'local' gathering.  That would be fun.

  • That's why we decided that weren't going to "try".  Getting all anxious and excited every month for that possible disappointment wasn't worth it for us - we're both already neurotic enough.

    My son never slept either.  I think if he could have come out running laps he would have.  He wasn't a crier, though, so I was lucky.  It's funny how DD is the opposite.

     A local get-together would be fun; I see the Philly girls have them but that's too far for me to travel.
