That's what my sister told me when I first told her we were expecting. Well according to the Dr it may actually happen. I went in for my appointment on tuesday I was measuring 35 weeks and she said the belly all baby.
Dr is estimating Maggie's weight around 5 lbs now and if she gains a lb a week we're looking at a 12lb baby at full term.
And I wanted a natural, drug free child birth.
So we have an u/s scheduled for 36 weeks and at that point they will decide wether or not to go in and take her early.
That's my update, how's everyone doing??
Re: Your going to give birth to a toddler.
Uh oh! I've heard that some babies run out of room and don't put on much the last couple weeks-maybe that will be the case with yours? Or maybe she'll come a couple weeks early?
Good luck with your u/s in a few weeks. Hopefully she isn't too big! FWIW, I've always heard it was a 1/2 lb a week, not a full lb, and only for the last month.
WOW! I crossed my legs in pain just thinkin about 12 lbs!
GL!!!
Dr said she estimated that if Maggie continued growing the way she was that she could be 12 lbs at birth. So when I did the math that's the way it worked out.
