Re: ~*~*~*~SIF Weekly Check In ~*~*~
My update - I am on CD 3. Went for my b/w and u/s this morning. All looks just like it's supposed to.
Assuming my beta comes back at less than 5 I can go ahead with the next treatment cycle.
Sorry, no QOTD today. I seriously do not have the brain capacity to think of one this morning. Feel free to throw one on there if you want to!
(((hugs))) Josi!
I am on CD 5 of yet another unmedicated break cycle. We have an appt with our new RE next week so hopefully we can proceed with another IUI in May. I am trying to be positive, but I am really upset about not having a 2009 baby
I can't believe that we have been trying for over a year!
We had 2 years of IF trying to conceive #2 and one loss during that time. We are currently trying for #3! had another loss the end of June
Good Morning...and thanks for the congrats!
It's still sooooo early and I know sooooo much can happen, but yes, today, I am pregnant.
Here's my update:
Beta #1 @ 11dpo on 4/2/09: 28.9
Progesterone: 22.8 (from 14.8 on 3/30)
Beta #2 is scheduled for Tuesday 4/7
Trying to be optimistic that this will work. Staying pregnant was never our issue, it was the getting pregnant we had trouble (wasn't ovulating) with the 1st time with our DS and now this time.
Thanks for including me on the check in list today!
Update: Nothing too new, I updated earlier this week about my good u/s, now am just waiting for the next! M/s is here in full force, which is a good thing I know, but still no fun.
On a happy note, today is my last day at work for a week- Thank goodness for Spring Break!!! I need a rest from these kids- and I'm so looking forward to being able to sleep whenever I want (or, more like whenever DS will let me!) and to get to play with DS all day.
Well today is beta day... they have my blood and now I just spend the day waiting! Flip flopping between optimistic and pessimistic... they said anytime between 1:30 and 5:00. I am keeping everything crossed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
congrats to the bfps this week.... and I'm sorry you're not having a good time right now Josi
I just logged on to post my beta results so I'll post here too! I actually laughed at the Dr. She started out by saying "Your results are rising as they should but they are really, really low... 331 (~16-17dpo)and 706 (~18-1dpo). Progesterone is 24. So it means you're really, really early in your pregnancy." Duh. DUH. I responded "Well, Dr, I'm actually very encouraged because my beta with my son started out at 6!". She said "Oh!> Well, have a nice weekend!". I will, thank you!
Good luck, Josi, with this cycle. It feels so weird to wish you a negative beta... but I've been there and I know how it feels. Hoping for a big fat "0" for ya!
I think it's so funny to see my name on the BFP list, becuase I don't really consider myself to be a 'success' story yet. I had beta #3 drawn this morning, and I'm hoping for a good number.
In the rest of my life I'm about to have a meltdown... DS's first birthday party is tomorrow, DH is out of town today, DS's tummy bug reared its ugly head again last night and my sister & BIL are in town but aren't helping me like they said they would!! So now I have 8 million things to get done AND I have to fit in a pedi appointment for DS. Ugh... Sunday can't come fast enough!
(sorry for the vent - I just needed to get it all off my chest!
Josi, I feel your pain b/c I've been doing a check in for a year! Questions are hard some weeks to come by.
Anyhoo I've had some serious blood pressure problems the last 48 hrs. They have subsided today but the doctor wants to see me today and go to El Paso (our big neighboring city) for some followup tests next week. Other than that pregnancy is going well.
I'm on CD 9 and took my last Clomid pill. I'm still post-spotting which is weird because AF typically only stays around for 5 days. Anyhow, I'm anxious for this cycle. My temps are all over the map the past few days too so I don't know what is going on. Hopefully this will be my cycle to get a BFP! Keeping fingers crossed
Hi Ladies,
So I went back to the RE today and they did an ultrasound to see if the Metformin had helped in getting me ready to ovulate (I?ve only been on it for 3 weeks). Sure enough, I am not getting ready to ovulate, but they did bloodwork to see if maybe we missed it, which is doubtful. So, he wants me to stay on the Met and start 200 mg of Clomid today. I haven?t had a period since end of January but he said the ultrasound showed that my uterine lining was just fine to start the Clomid without bringing on a period first. So, I do 5 days of that and go back on the 15th for a check to see if anything is going on in there. Wish me luck!! I am glad to hopefully be able to ovulate this time around. Please keep your fingers crossed that the Met and Clomid work well together and get my ovaries moving!!
Happy Friday!!
Hi all - I'm not on the list yet but we're just starting our FET cycle. I did my CD3 b/w and u/s on Wednesday and everything looked good. I started BCP yesterday and go on next Tuesday for an SHG to check my uterine lining. Then we'll start the estrogen shots.
On the downside we got word at work yesterday that our small branch is being "taken over" by a larger branch location. So we're looking at a LOT of layoffs in the next few months as they merge departments, etc. I'm pretty much expecting to be let go. Soo - some added stress I don't need right now, but DH and I talked about it last night and we're going ahead with the FET. And I may soon be a SAHM!!
(hugs)
Nothing too much is new with me. I'm on CD3 and made an appointment with the RE, though the nurse said that even though we've been ttc for well over a year now, because I "acheived" a pg (but later miscarried) that that is still considered a pregnancy and the RE probably won't do anything until the one year miscarriage mark (October!!). I kept the appointment anyway. (sigh)
Thanks for doing the check in. I think it's okay to have weeks without a QOTD.
I like to read what everyone is up to anyway. Maybe our "fallback" could be: What are you up to this weekend? Nice and easy.
My update: CD4. Started 150mg of clomid last nite...gearing up for an IUI.
Can you add me to the list? I have been TTC #2 since July 2007.
I just tested today and got a BFN 12dpiui #2. Really bummed about it, and hopeing AF arrives soon so we can move on. Next cycle we are doing follistim IUI and hopefully that will do the trick.
DD #1 {04-19-2004}
Secondary IF: Severe MFI (low testosterone, low count, low morph, & very low motility) & Annovulation
After 22 months IUI # 3 Clomid + Follistim = BFP

2 more years of failed IF treatments and a failed adoption TTC #3
TTC Journey Over~ Not By Choice

Tried 4 cycles of Clomid, TI, Gonal-f, and IUI's - all BFFN's
Both tubes removed Nov '09
Low AMH = 0.3
IVF #1 for Feb '10 - cancelled due to poor response - Gonal-f and Repronex
IVF #1.2 for June '10 - Gonal-f, Menopur, and micro Lupron
ER - 6/19 (2 retrieved), ET - 6/22 (1 transferred with ICSI), Beta 7/5 = BFFN
IVF #2 for Nov '10 was cancelled due to poor response - Follistim, Repronex, and micro Lupron
IVF #2.2 for Feb '11 - Gonal-f, Repronex, and Ganirelix
ER - 2/24 (8 retrieved), ET - 3/1 (2 transferred with ICSI), froze 3, Beta 3/11 = BFFN
FET - 4/19 (3 transferred), Beta 4/28 = BFP, EDD 1/4/12
I would love to be added.
We are currently just trying the old-fashioned way until our FET in August or September. I'm certainly not expecting anything to happen (I have PCOS, DH has MFI), but I wouldn't turn down a miracle BFP.
