NBR: Those that have had appendicitis

So I have been sick all day unable to keep anything in.  I was having some sharp abdominal pain before but now my pain has suddenly moved to a dull to moderate ache on the right side.  I am trying to decide if I am expierencing appendicitis or if I have a case of the flu and ovulation pains.  Any information would greatly help.

    Stand on your left foot.  If it causes pain there is a good chance it is appendicitis.  I know it sounds like an OWT but I have seen it work in the past.

    With appendicitis, you'll have a rebound pain. If you press where your appendix is, it will hurt MORE when you let go. It also progresses very quickly -- so if it is appendicitis, you'll be doubled over in pain within 24 hrs.

    Is there a nurse line you can call?

    The pain will probably also be localized between your right hip & your bellybutton.
