Need advice on a good sippy cup

I am looking for recommendations on good sippy cups or what you found worked best for your son or daughter. My son has the Born Free Sippy cups but lately he hasn't been liking the spouts on them. The pedi told me today at his 12 month appointment that he needs to be completely off the bottle as soon as possible. Any suggestions on good sippy cups out there?

  • my dd will only use the take and toss ones

  • We started with the Nuby soft spout and DD took to it very well.  It was the perfect first/transition cup.

Once she got the hang of that we then switched to the Avent soft spout (the spout isn't too soft.)  It was a great cup, but we found that it leaked and that was annoying.

We now use the Playtex Insulator.  We LOVE this cup, but it's not for a beginner.

  • We use to use the Born Free ones.... but we are now fans of Nuby's. DS loves them, they have a soft spout, no extra parts, are cheap, do not leak, come with lids, and you can buy them at Target, CVS, and/or the grocery store.

  • Love the playtex insulator cups. Never had a leaking problem.

Nubys spill all over and were a pain. Great for transitioning though from bottle to cup.

We also use take and toss and like those for the diaper bag.
