How is your son with STTN now? I saw an old post in your blog with the dreamfeed method that you tried...and I'm thinking about trying that with my kiddo. He's up 3-5 times a night most nights and I'm just dying without sleep!
I am so happy to say that he is, for the most part, sleeping from 7 or 8 at night until 7 or 8 in the morning with no dreamfeed now! But, this is very recent.
The dreamfeed helped, but only after we did a little sleep training. Not sure how you feel about that, but once we got through teething hell, it really worked for us. There was a good couple weeks, though, where all sleep training was out the window because he was so fussy about his teeth. (Talked about that in my Confessions of a Ferber Flunkie entry), but he's back to normal for now.
I hear you on the lack of sleep = death thing. It is a terrible, terrible thing to not get good sleep. Do what you have to do and feel comfortable with to ensure that you and your son are getting enough sleep.
Zach was just as bad with his sleeping as he normally is when he started to teethe...he cut two teeth in one weekend and I thought for sure we were all going to die because he was so fussy But he slept like normal.
I'm going to go back and read your Ferber Flunkie entry again I'm willing to try ANYTHING at this point! Working 7:45 a.m. to 5:45 p.m. with less than 4 hours of sleep every day is starting to take a toll!
