What makes your LO laugh?

So far, the only thing that makes DD laugh is if DH and I do this silly bouncing dance and chant the words "Dance, dance, dance". She cracks up! But that's it. Nothing else works. And it's pretty embarrasing for us to do our little dance all the time when friends/family want to see her laugh. So, I'm curious what gets your LO to burst out laughing, not just a big smile!

Re: What makes your LO laugh?

  • For our little one, she's started laughing more in the past week or two then she did at 4 mo. old.   Those were far and few between.   Right now, playing Peak-A-Boo, bobbing my head so my hair flips forward, and tickling make her laugh.  She's really just picked up laughing quite a bit this past week or so.

  • Mostly DH! She loves everything about his face.

    Singing to her

My dad also makes her laugh a lot when he reads to her.

  • nibbling his turkey legs, poking his rib cage (lightly of course), making funny noises, squeezing his cheeks....
  • He doesn't really laugh yet, but we always get huge smiles from him whenever we stick our tongues out and make retching noises.  Strange baby.
  • DS is ticklish, and if you rub his sides he will just start laughing and giggling.  He loves when we sing to him and play peek-a-boo.  It is so much fun now that he smiles more often!
  • I can just look at him and he cracks up.  I am either really funny looking or he is a really happy boy!
  • he's yet to really laugh at us. apparently we're not funny enough for him.
  • The only thing that works so far is undressing her, especially when you pull her arms out of the sleeves, and holding her like a baby and moving back and forth. DH can make her giggle too.
  • raspberries on his cheeks, hands, or tummy or tickling his rib cage are the only way we get belly laughs out of him.

  • Well, my child is so not ticklish, cause we've tried all those tickling tricks, but nothing works. Funny faces and singing songs will get her to smile really big.... but no belly laughs.

Maybe she just needs more time. Or maybe, she just doesn't find us all that interesting. LOL

  • DS is a little ticklish under his armpits now, and that gets him laughing. Sometimes bouncing in his bouncer, like really bouncing it, will get him. And he loves when you make poot noises with your mouth, lol.?
