Baby rolling over

My son rolled over at 4 months and did so for about a week and then he got a cold after his first week at daycare and hasn't rolled over since (he is 4.5 months old now)...has that happened to anyone else?  The lady at daycare said that babies sometimes lose interest in it when they have a cold (something with the inner ear)...but I wanted to check here.  Thanks!

    yes.  DD was rolling over at 3 months for about a week then it was like she forgot how or something and didn't do it again for about 1.5 months!  she didn't have a cold - she just quit rolling.  anyway, she's a rolly polly now.

    DS learned to roll at 3.5 months but then at around 4.5 months he just stopped rolling for a few weeks.  I thought for sure he forgot how but he was very content playing on his back.  He has been rolling since so who knows why he lost interest.
