Hey there,
I saw you responded to one of my posts from yesterday and that you're from the Quad City Area. Are you from there originally? I'm not too far from you.
How do you like your doctor? Right now, I go to someone in Iowa City, but am considering switching. Would love to hear about yours and any recommendations.

Yup, I'm in the QCA, but not orginally from here.
My home town is about 20 mi north of Waterloo.
Right now I'm still with an OBGYN-- Dr. Mihm from D'port. So far he's been ok. I haven't really been blown away though. I almost feel like I know more about this stuff that he does. I guess that's what you get when you're not with a RE. But the good thing is that he is open to doing what I want. This is my first cycle with Clomid and he didn't have me monitored. Well I told him next time (hopefully there isn't a next time-- I'm in my 2ww, praying for my BFP) I want to do the ultrasounds and bloodwork. He said no problem and we'll do that for cycle 2. If I don't see any progress in cycle 2 I think I'll go for a second opinion.

I actually just moved here from St. Louis...so, I'm really open to options/suggestions. Everyone I've asked who I know here and as far as Williamsburg has recommended the same OB/GYN office in Coralville, which is probably too far for you. My DH is currently at the UofI hospital and he received a recommendation for a fertility group there, which I may look into. If we were to get to the IVF or IUI phase, that is where I'd be sent anyway from this office. My frustration with where I'm going right now is the lack of personal attention. You don't necessarily get "your" doctor when you go into labor, you get whoever is on call at that time. In STL, I had my doctor and the only way I'd get someone else is if she was out of town at the time. I also felt very rushed when I went for my first appointment and like the doctor wasn't really listening to me. So...we'll see.
How long have you been in QCA?
I head up to Davenport a lot just for shopping, etc. Anything you recommend out that way? I'm still learning the area.
Oh...I'm currently going to Obstetric and Gynecologic Associates of Iowa City PC if that helps at all.
Good luck with your 2ww...keep me posted. I am on my fourth day after my last clomid pill...hoping I ovulate any time now. Maybe we'll both get lucky this month??
I know how you feel about not getting any "personal" attention. I have to repeat my whole IF history to him every time I am there. He could at least pretend to look at my chart before he comes in the room. Oh, well.
Still no AF and I am at 14dpo today, so I am keeping my fingers crossed that I'll get my BFP. This was my first round of clomid too. I did 50mg cd 3-7. I o'd on day 16 according to fertility friend. I didn't see a surge on the OPKs though. I either missed the surge or maybe I didn't O. (No monitoring this first round.) I had very irregular cycles before, so I am hoping that the clomid did it's thing.
I have been having some twinges/cramps, so I'm not sure if that is a sign AF is coming or a sign that my uterus is stretching... I am hoping for the later! How long have you be TTC?
I've been in the QCA since 2002. I moved here for college after I met my hubby in Cedar Rapids.
I live on the IL side of the river, though I am an Iowa girl at heart.
As for shopping in D'port NorthPark mall on Kimberly Road is pretty good and then stores like Old Navy, Bed Bath and Beyond and TJ Maxx are on 53rd street in Davenport.
