I hate figuring out medical insurance and bills.

How much is our deductible, did this get covered, did I pay that, why am I getting one bill for $500, then another for $2100, why did most of my hospital stay get covered, why are our meds free right now?  ...and on and on. 

This sh*t confuses me, and I think I'm a relatively intelligent person.

    I've worked in medical billing for years and some of those EOB's (explanation of benefits) confuse me as well.  As for the different bills...some of that has to do with all the different "types" of doctors that saw you/baby while in the hospital.  Some of them are might not even participate with your insurance...they are paid by the hospital.  I would call on any large bill.  Sometimes they don't have the correct contract numbers, etc.  They (the doctor's) get their info from the hospital and hospitals are notorious for gathering wrong informaiton.
