I forgot to ask at the 12 month appt, so maybe you guys can help.

DD is not walking independantly yet, just laps around the table...what should she have on her feet? Nothing? Socks? Shoes? (and if so what kind).

Once she starts walking around, what should be on her feet?

Learning without shoes is best - even walking without shoes is best. We only use shoes when we go outdoors or out in public.

Ditto the pp. When we do put shoes on our boys we use Robeez - they're nice and soft and don't throw them off balance since they're just learning.

My DD's been walking for about a month, so I just bought her some Robeez Mini Shoez because she likes to walk around outside. The sole is a little thicker than the leather-soled Robeez but still really flexible.

Definitely not socks, it's too slippery. Barefoot or very soft slipper/shoes are best. DS lives in these at home:
