SHORT GIRLS - Rave about your maternity jeans!

It's time . . . I'm getting too uncomfortable half the time wearing the bella and regular jeans. I'm only 5'2 and have trouble with regular jeans less finding maternity ones to fit. I got 2 pair from my BF and they are from Motherhood. I hate them both . . . one is a PS and it looks like I'm wearing floods and the other is a S and I'm swimming. it also feels like the crotch is down between my knees. haha!! So, offer up your FAVORITE jeans please!!

*disclaimer* ~ I'm sure this was posted a million times, but it never pertained to me, so I didn't pay attention.

Re: SHORT GIRLS - Rave about your maternity jeans!

  • I'm 5'1 and LOVE Old Navy's jeans. I have the full panel ones in the flare leg and the wide leg ones I just got yesterday. LOVE the way they fit. (which is odd b/c normally ON clothes don't fit me at all).

  • I'm 4'11" and have gotten mine at either Old Navy, JCPenney, or Kohls, all have petite size maternity clothes.  However I still had to get mine hemmed, but you might be ok.  The Old Navy ones are my favorite, just get the size "S" for short!
  • ::grabs pen and paper and waits impatiently::

I'm 5'2" as well and have the worst time finding regular jeans-forget maternity!

  • I'm just barely 5'4" & I love my Buffalo jeans from Pea in a Pod!!  A bit pricier than Motherhood or ON jeans, but I couldn't stand the way either of those fit me.

  • Wish I could rave about mine. My crotch also feels like its between my knee's and I have to roll them up. I do the one large roll so it doesn't look too horrible!
  • I love mine from target but Im 5'5" and then are long on me, so they probably wont work.  The good news is they had shorts and capris and we'll be REALLY big in the summer so length wont matter as much.

Size "S" at ON stands for Small... some of their pants come in "Regular" "Short" and "Long".

ooooh cute new siggy pic!!! You and your bump are ADORABLE!

  • I am 5 feet and love the jeans at ON, I just get the partial panel ones, not the full panel, not sure what they call them. They are comfortable, not too long and the crotch doesnt dangle.
  • ON & gap make them at different lengths and their regular jeans fit well so I'm assuming the mat. ones do also.  I'm 5'2" also, I haven't had to buy maternity jeans YET, all of my jeans are low and they still fit around my hips and legs so I just use my bella band with them.

Sorry I'm no help but I'm interested in what everyone likes since I have no doubt I will soon be needing maternity jeans

  • I have a mix of ON and Motherhood..... the trick with the Motherhood jeans is to get the bootleg cut jeans or the straight leg. I made a HUGE mistake and bought the flare.. because that's what I wore pre-pregnancy... and it makes my legs look like little sausages... lol.
  • I got 2 pairs from Old Navy this weekend and I love them! One has a full panel and one has the low rise panel. Both are very comfy, which is strange because normally I hate Old Navy jeans. I got them regular length because they didn't have short, but they fit well. I'm 5'3.

I am also 5'2" and my jeans are from ON.  They are super comfy.

I was wearing regular jeans and a bella band too and as soon as I bought these I thought - "what have I been waiting for!" they are great - they have stretch throughout but are not skin tight.  I bought them in regular, and the leg was a little long so I might hem them but otherwise A+ on fit.

  • i'm 5'1-2 & i have a pair of pants & shorts from MM & they fit great. a tad bit long- but they work with my danskos.

Ditto this and everyone else who said ON jeans.

I normally HATE shopping for jeans because I can never find any that fit me well (I'm 5'). I figured shopping for mat jeans would be even worse. ON was the first place I looked and I was amazed that I loved them as soon as I put them on. FI even made a comment the other day and asked what I was going to do with those pants after I have Abby because he thinks those are the best looking jeans he's ever seen me in (!) - I told him I'm keeping them and I'll just wear them with shirts that will hide the stretch waist (I didn't go for the panel), LOL.

I totally agree and said something similar. It's amazing how well they fit! :) I was ready to spend $200 and jeans and ordered ON ones on a whim just to see. So happy I did!

I also get the regular length, but even though I am short my actual legs are the longest part of me. Torso is short and I have the "hanging crotch" problem someone else mentioned in a lot of jeans too ; ) lol

Oh no biggie, you're right, I forgot they size some pants S, M, L, which I think is weird!

  • I'm also 5'2" and ON S fits perfectly.

ITA! Especially b/c I ordered and XS in the wide leg jeans based on the measurements they tell you to use and they were just a bit too snug. So I had to send them back and wait for a S. But when I ordered the flares in a (2 I think) they fit perfectly. Very annoying! haha

and i've noticed i cannot wear shorts unless i wear flat shoes. if i want to wear ANY heel at all, i need the regular length.

  • Old Navy jeans work best for me! i'm only 5ft and they have short and reg. length.  i can wear either/or.  and they look fashionable too.  Yes

I'm the same way. 99% of the time I can't do shorts.

  • I love my Liz Lange full panels from Target. I do have to roll them up because they're far too long (I'm 5'1), but they fit wonderfully everywhere else. If I wasn't cheap and lazy I would have them hemmed, but oh well.?

  • I'm barely 5'5" but my legs are short. I just got the 7 for all mankind jeans from Pea in a Pod (got them from my sister as a gift) but they fit so well! I had the hardest time finding anything else flattering for my body type. However, after closer inspection, I am thinking that maternity jeans wouldn't be so hard to make. It looks like they just hacked off the top of a pair of 7-F.A.M. jeans and sewed a bella band on top. I am thinking of trying this with a pair of old jeans that haven't fit me in a while but I still like...

  • I'm 5'3 and have Gap and they are perfect.  My khakis are long so I have to hem them but the jeans are great.

Maybe that's why mine don't bother me...I was actually surprised at how well the regulars fit.  Amazing since I am 5'2''!  I can NEVER find jeans.  Maternity jeans were the easiest for me to find and buy!

  • I just went to gap maternity yesterday and I got a pair of long and lean (of which I am neither) full panel jeans. They are wonderful! they're a darker wash and I think gap just redesigned their long and lean jeans because I didn't like the old style but LOVE the way these fit. I also got them in the ankle length, and while they're a bit long, I think they'll fit perfectly after they go through the wash a few times. Plus, they were 30% off, so they cost about 45 bucks...I am in love :)
