Need Food / Entertainment Rec's in DFW

Hi Ladies!!   I've been living in Abilene for the last year.  We'll be moving back to CA soon, and we're making our last trip to the DFW area this weekend.. We've been there several times, but have really struck out as far as finding things to do, and esp. finding good food! So, since this is going to be our last trip there I really want to make the most of it!! I'd really appreciate any recommendations on great places to eat, and fun things to do..  TIA!

    Fun things: the FW Zoo is really great and the botanic gardens are nice, both are right off 30 and University; Sundance Square is nice especially walking around at night. I love downtown FW in general. There is a Pete's Piano bar, but that wouldn't be LO friendly. The Modern Art Museum, that's where I got engaged, so I think it is kinda special.

    Food: ?Joe T's- Mexican food, I personally think the food is only OK, but the ambiance is great. There is (was?) a good Italian restaurant called Sardine's with the whole drippy candles, live music thing.?

    I know there is more, but it may take me a while to think.?

    Ok, I'm re-reading your post. For some reason I thought you were going to FW, not the metroplex in general.
    BBQ in Dallas I like Sonny Bryan's.?
    I think on the EFF board you mentioned Mexican food too. Not necessarily Mexican food, but along those lines: Cuba Libre (cubalibredallas.com) has amazing mango mojito's if you like that kind of thing.?
