I am trying to just start a rough list of what we will need. Obviously a lot depends on boy/girl but we have many of the bigger items.
On my list:
-Double stroller? May be able to borrow one, and not sure if I really need this, as DD doesn't really love the stroller...
-Bottles - I threw all mine away after the BPA scare
-Clothes - may be able to borrow a lot of boy clothes if we have a boy
-Second monitor? Do I need this?
-Breastfeeding supplies, etc.
We are moving DD into a big girl room and using the nursery (gender neutral) for the new baby, so we don't need anything for the nursery - I love it already and am having fun with DD's new room. Finally getting my pink! The nursery is gender neutral.
What am I forgetting?
Re: Moms of 1+ - what are you buying for baby #2?
Your list looks exactly what mine looks like. We got the double stroller, need to get new bottles, new clothes if we have a boy and any new BF supplies. We are not getting a second monitor since DD will be moving rooms closer to ours. Our nursery is also gender neutral so the bulk of the stuff we are getting is for DD's big girl room.
Good luck!
I have to buy some newborn and 0-3 summery clothes! DD1 was born in October so it was already chilly outside.
I found a stroller I like at Babies R Us where we can perch a carseat, and it has a conventional seat for when baby is bigger + it has a seat/standing place for toddlers.
I'll need to get new bottles, etc. - I'm hoping to be able to BF exclusively for the first few months this time though. I had a bunch of medela bottles, but I have no idea where they are since we've moved in the past few months.
Our first monitor died, so I'll probably get one at least for DD1's room - we'll be moving her to another bedroom that's slightly farther away.
I think I may need to buy more for DD - a toddler bed, furniture for her new room, etc. I'm excited about doing a "girly" room too because we have a gender-neutral nursery as well.
-Bottles (all the ones we had with DD were recalled because of BPA)
-Clothes (not many though if it's a girl)
-Bedding & decor
I'm not getting a second monitor as DD doesn't really need one anymore so we'll use that one. I'm also undecided on the double stroller as DD hates being in her stroller at the moment.
Bottles (returned mine for the BPA thing too)
Clothes (won't need too many as got some hand-me-downs and had bought a lot of unisex stuff for DD)
Second monitor -- I am getting one because DD's room will have a baby gate on it until she is old enough to know to stay in her room or be trusted to wander around the 2nd floor without injury. So she will need to be monitored.
Diapers
Wipes
Gas drops
Extra humidifier for DD's room (it's very dry here)
New infant car seat
Baby book for DS
New pacis
DD -- 5YO
DS -- 3YO
BFP 3/9/12 Natural M/C 4/11/12
i bought a boppy pillow b/c i didn't have one when i had DS and i think it could have come in handy since i always had to use reg. pillows w/ DS.
new bottles/paci's
My SIL is giving us her double stroller
new monitor (ours broke and i'd like to have one to take to grandma's house & outside etc...) and extra camera for video monitor.
Your list is just like mine. In general, I will probably need to get a new breast pump and clothes if it's a little girl (we'll find out on MONDAY!!) but, it seems as though I have a lot of receiving blankets and things like that.
I've already been stocking up on diapers and wipes at the store. That way, I have a nice stash when he/she arrives.
