Where are you buying your crib bedding?

I picked some from BRU, but I'm not in love with it and I don't want the diaper stacker, quilt and bumper- so really what does that leave? A sheet and a crib skirt. For nearly $200. Anyway, I am looking for something somewhat unique that I can buy in separate pieces. I have a bad feeling I'm going to end up just buying the BRU stuff or sewing my own (which will likely never happen).

Re: Where are you buying your crib bedding?

  • i'm not really doing the whole "bedding" thing. i found some organic sheets/blankets in cream & brown at BRU & i'll probably go with those.
  • Loading the player...
  • I bought mine at BRU.
  • 99% sure Baby Gap. Just sheets and bed skirt, both of hwich they carry in the colors I want and in organic, which is great for me!
  • I got this at Target.com for 13.00!! It is so adorable up close.

  • I ended up liking a set at Baby Gap, but like you figured the bumper and quilt will be useless and a waste of money, plus I didn't want a crib skirt. So I got the window valance they had in the pattern so that I still get that and then got some matching sheets and a blanket I can wrap her in as opposed to a quilt. I did register for a bumper, but I'm still on the fence whether I'll use it or not if someone does in fact buy it.
  • I am going to buy the fitted sheets and the breathable bumper, and I am sewing my own crib skirt and comforter.  I just learned to sew last summer and honestly, it's not that hard.  It's all rectangles.

Try babysupermall.com... Every bedding that I've liked has been on there for quite a bit less and you can buy the pieces individually if you want. We just bought our set off of there yesterday (along with a couple of additional pieces) after we found the set at USAbaby. It's supposed to be here on friday so we'll see!

  • Oh yeah, I forgot about Baby Gap. There is one I liked there and I think it comes in pieces.

  • I'm buying mine at PBK. The penelope bedding if it's a girl, and either the navy blue and white or the monkey bedding if it's a boy.
  • I got mine from Overstock.com which surprised me I can never find anything I like on there.
  • We didn't buy a bedding "set", but we found some great solid color separates at BRU on clearance!

Ditto! They sell stuff separately even if it's normally only in a 6 piece set at a place like BRU.  GL!
  • ebay! I got the Amy Coe Zoo bedding set for $70 instead of paying $170 at BRU.
  • I felt the exact same way -- such a pain that most places only sell the whole set!

I found the absolute best company for baby bedding -- it's called Carousel Designs (www.babybedding.com).  I LOVE their stuff.  It's classic and beautiful.  And, it's A rated by Baby Bargains for durability.  The best thing about it is that everything is available individually, plus you can order their fabric by the yard.

I never see anyone on here talking about Carousel Designs.  It may be because their patterns are more classic and less trendy -- no cartoon characters, etc.  But that's one of the main things I love about it!

  • Babymania.com has pretty good deals, although it usually sells in either 4 or 6 piece and then you can get extras separately (lamp, diaper stacker, hamper, wall hangings etc)
  • The other great thing about Carousel Designs is that you can design your own stuff (in addition to their ready-made bedding collections). It is a bit expensive but so much fun to play around with the different fabric options.

I just found where we are going to buy our bedding from! Yay! I absolutely hate most of the nursery stuff in stores... I think it looks cheesy. I don't mind some of bananfish's stuff, but it's still "meh" and I can't buy it separate...  anyway, thanks! I would rather spend more on individual things than get a set I won't use all of.

  • I just got my bedding the mail this morning from JcPenny! I LOVE IT!! I bought the sahara collection and it will work for boy or girl! It is even way cuter in person!
  • I'm having a bedskirt, sheets and curtains made by www.babylovin.com.  I don't like the traditional baby fabrics so I was happy to find this website.
