Re: *~*~*~*DE/GC Check-In*~*~*~*
I'm just so excited about everyone cycling. I just KNOW this board is going to EXPLODE here with good news over the next month (and a half!).
Update: Things are going beautifully for us. As Futuremom beautifully updated, both my cousin and I start our Lupron on Friday and ER is set for either 5/1 or 5/2. The "end" seems so close right now. Now I'm just praying I suppress, unlike what I did for IVF #1, so that's where I'm sending my positive vibes for the moment.
QOTD: We have a boy and girl name picked out. I don't mind sharing... Jayden Thomas for a boy (we've always liked Jayden, and Thomas is Dh's middle name, my dad's name, my grandfather's name, Dh's grandfather's name, and my FIL's middle name). For a girl we like Madison Carolyn (we've LOVED Madison for the longest time. It was going to be Madison Ellen (my middle name and my mom's middle name) but then when Carolyn, my cousin, stepped up for us, the least we can do is give our girl her name). As for nursery decor...I haven't even thought of looking yet.
Suggestion: Would anyone mind if maybe we added our names after our screen names? If it isn't too much trouble, I'd love to be able to call people by their real names when I post replies. Just a thought! ~ked1068 (Kristen)
3 IUI's, 2 IVF's , 1 FET , 1 IVF w/ Gestational Carrier, and 1 FET using adopted embryo's = ALL BFNs
We are adopting!
SAIF/PAIF IS ALWAYS WELCOMED TO POST IN MY POSTS!!!
Update: Starting my Lupron Sun. and donor is tested and ready to go for late April cycle! ET will be around May 8th if all goes as planned.
QOTD: We picked out names when we were engaged. It was so fun back then to plan it all out and dream... we had no idea we would still be waiting 4 years later.
Wow! There is a lot of excitement in this group this week! GL to everyone!

Hi ladies!!
First off, good luck to LBR and AXL!! How's the 2ww treating you guys? And of course, as always, best of luck to the rest of us as well in our various stages of the de process (whether it's in cycle, waiting to gear up, or waiting for the birth of your babies)!
Status update: I've been updating as I'm going along, but ER was on Sunday, and I just got the call this morning that we have 14 beautiful embies still growing so we're going to have our 5dt this Friday. My next update will be Thursday. Should I I have gotten additional information? I should be happy with the info I have, but I am a bit of a control freak even though I have zero control over any of this.
QOTD: Yes, I'm starting to think about names more seriously again and am guilty of looking at nursery decor. I don't do it often, but I have done it a few times this month! Can't wait to do it for real!
Good luck to everyone who is in the middle of their cycle....2WW, ET, and ER coming up. I can't wait to see some good results from all of this activity!
Update: My last bcp is tomorrow (thank goodness!). I am supposed to have my suppression check (blood work only) on Monday, but am also scheduled for an operative hysteroscopy that same day. My surgery is so early, the lab won't be open, so I don't know if they will push it back a day. I am waiting to hear. Based on the results, I should start estrogen (both patches and Estrace) early next week.
QOTD: We have had a girl name for about 2 years, but never agreed on a boy name. We stopped talking about names awhile ago, but hopefully will need to pick up the discussions again soon. I have not looked at nursery decor yet.
Hey ladies! Wow, so much exciting stuff!! Sending GREAT 2ww vibes to AXL and LBR
FM2B - sending great embie vibes to you!
And Kristen - I can't believe how smoothly this has all gone - how exciting!! GL with the lupron...
Things are crawling along for me. I know everything is going well but it feels like it's taking forever! Donor has an u/s today and the clininc thinks she will trigger tonight. My lining looks good, her response has been great, and now we just wait! AGHHHHHH!!!! With luck we'll have a 5dt next Tuesday - wow!
We talk about names all the time and it's always in flux. We like pretty conventional names: Audrey, Samantha, William, Samuel etc. Not sure orders or anything like that! As for decor - a logical nursery would be on our first floor, but our bedroom is on the third floor. I expect we will keep "the baby" in a bassinett in our room, so I'm not too concerned about nursery stuff.
GL everyone!

I'm so excited for everyone cycling this week/month and I'm hoping for a bunch of BFPs!
As for me, I feel like a deflated balloon - it's been a tough 3 days.
Update: We were so close.... so close! And Saturday afternoon we got a call that our donor was not responding to her stims and the cycle was canceled.
We spoke with our IF nurse and our donor agency. Neither one had ever known anyone who lost 2 donors before ER. Our donor agency is giving us a huge discount for find a 3rd donor and RE is giving us some $ back. There is the potential for a donor on the horizon that our agnecy AND RE recommend, but it's at least 3 months out, so I'm not going to be doing too much for a while.
I'll be lurking for a while, but probably not participating on the board that often until we're back to being in a cycle.
Good luck everyone!
RFBsbride - I am SO sorry about your cancelled cycle. I can't imagine the heartache of TWO cancelled donor cycles. I'm glad the RE and agency are working with you, and hope you'll be cycling again soon.

Status Update: Had lining check yesterday and it's an 8. Donor is "doing terrific" but no specifics.
qotd: Totally have names picked out for a boy it's Christopher Andrew. Girl's names come and go we keep talking about them but can't settle on one. We like Mary or Madison w/ the middle name Elise but we aren't 100% sold on them.
I look at nursery bedding often and there's an alphabet/word set that I really like.
I am so excited for all of you ladies cycling now. I keep updated DH with what is going on and he just looks at me like "should I know who you are talking about?".
update: we had our de info session and found out what additional testing we need to do. Since I've had everything under the sun, it was only the STD panel for both of us for FDA purposes and updated TSH and prolactin for me. DH needed to update his SA because all the IVF collections don't count.
The exciting news was that after 7 collections DH finally figure out how to change the DVD in "the room". So yay for him for updating his porn viewing from the default 80's porn to something a little more modern. I've always said when we graduate, I am giving them a basket o' porn as part of our going away gift.
We should get our bw results in 2 weeks and then we meet with the RE again for our protocol. In the meantime, I have to start looking of a donor. Our RE recommends 4 different agencies so I am going to stick to those. I have to limit some research somehow!
QOTD: No names picked out or nursery designs. All of DH's siblings have a kid whose name starts with J after their grandfather so he wants to continue the tradition but I'm not sold yet. All the "good" J names are already taken.
Good luck to everyone. This group could sure use some good news!

I wanted to say I'm so excited for all you ladies who are underway with your cycles. I haven't been on the board that long, but thank you to everyone for sharing your stories and experiences it gives me such hope.
Status Update: I had a lap/hys earlier this month and we have done all the testing and counseling needed to move forward with our DE cycle. The hold up is our finances. The good news is that I found out yesterday that my part of the procedure is covered by my insurance, which is different than what they originally told us so we're excited. Hopefully we can move forward a few months sooner now.
QOTD: We had them picked out, but I've changed my mind several times and it drives my dh crazy.Good luck to all of you cycling and in the 2WW right now! RFBSbride, I'm so sorry to hear that your cycle was cancelled. Big ((HUGS))
Status: Still just waiting, waiting, waiting. Growing more and more impatient!
QOTD: We have discussed a few names, but not decided on anything definite. I was picking out nursery decor when we first started TTC, I was naive and thought it wouldn't take long and we'd be pregnant. Wrong! LOL. I haven't looked at any nursery decor lately, I'm too afraid to jinx it.
It's so exciting to see our list getting so long!!!!!
QOTD - Per Jewish tradition, we name after deceased relatives. We have known who we were going to name for for a long time, but, in the time we've been TTC, we've lost 4 very close relatives, which throws a bit of a wrench into things. Add to that the fact that neither of my siblings will ever have children, so, I feel that much more compelled to honor certain family members with names. At this point, we're probably going to go with double middle names. Also per Jewish tradition, we don't say the names until after the baby is born (for a boy, you don't say his name until his bris, when he's 8 days old!!). So, I won't share the names we have. Also, it depends on what we have first which names will get used.
As for nursery decor, no, I haven't really spent any time over the last years looking at that or thinking much about it. I've done a little thinking, but, never went far enough as to plan. I think some of that was because we weren't in the house we planned to be in yet. Now that we're getting ready to move into it, I guess it's possible that I might find myself thinking about it more.
Hi Ladies -
Wow I am still surprised at all the activity in this group - it seems to grow and grow each day!
Kelli - I am so sorry to hear about your 2nd donor - I hope the third one is the charm for you. Good luck in the search.
FM2B and Epphd - good luck this week with your ET and ER- I am so excited for you both!
LBR - I hope you are surviving the 2ww - will you POAS? if so, when?
UPDATE: We had to leave our condo for termite fumigation (huge hassle) but it keep me busy over the weekend and now we are in a swanky hotel so the change of scenery has helped me keep sane. My beta is on Friday - I am not feeling at all positive about it though. I've been crampy the last few days - and not the kind you feel when pregnant - more like AF cramps. I'll POAS either tomorrow afternoon or Thursday am.
QOTD - we are avoiding talking about names because when we have done that in the past it has resulted in m/c so we don't want to jinx it.
