Sex during pregnancy

ok ladies...the talk about sex.

I'm almost 19 weeks pregnant and I've been without sex for about 16 weeks due to doctor orders. I had a low lying placenta and having sex could make it worse so I was told NOT TO!!!

What's the longest during pregnancy that you've been without sex?

    DH finally got over his "fear" about his "nether regions" being near his daughter about 2 weeks ago - so we went for about 25/26 weeks!

    It was 5 or 6 weeks... at first I wasn't feeling well, then DH went out of the country for work for 3 weeks.

    Um...since conception.  From week 6 until a couple of weeks ago, it was because of terrible nausea.  Now I think we've both just gotten lazy and fall asleep before anything can happen at night.

    oh my. 19 weeks...25 weeks...I can't even imagine!

    the longest we went was 6 weeks, and it was torture.

    I was put on pelvic rest at 20 weeks for pre-term contrax. Doc says I can't have any until I'm 34 weeks.

    I'm dying. Seriously. Crying

    about 3 weeks...and it seemed like forever...can't imagine going 16 weeks without...

    like a week and a half.... maybe 2 weeks. DH would go insane and be one hell of a grouch if we hadn't for much longer than that.. and I probably wouldn't be too nice either...

    OP... 25/26 weeks!!!!??? holy crap.... there'd be some tension in my house...

    Doc said I had a low lying placenta too but he didn't say anything about not having sex! 

    the longest for us was about 2 weeks, and during that time was only because I was trying to get over a bladder infection.

    We are going on a month right now, however it was VERY scarce before then. First tri I was just too sick, and then we travelled for a month with his parents, and then I was diagnosed with marginal placenta previa & put on modified bedrest & pelvic rest....so its been a while...the only sex I have been getting is some rpetty wild dreams!

    Wow. We've gone a pretty long time compared to you all. I just don't enjoy it like I used to! The longest we've gone during pregnancy is 2 or 3 weeks but it's funny because before I LOVED sex! We would do it several times a week. Not anymore though. DH has been really great about it too. I try not to let it go more than a week but sometimes I just could care less!

    16 weeks, we just broke our dry spell the other night.  We weren't on doctor's orders or anything, but before I knew we were so busy with Christmas, then I was super scared of m/c and spotting/bleeding/cramping because I know that happens sometimes after sex, and then I just didn't have the energy.  I'm just now getting more energy and am no longer afraid of anything bad happening.

    Maybe no more than a week. It varies. Sometimes I'm just too tired or we don't have any time. It's definitely a change since we used to have sex at least twice a day before pregnancy.

    I think it's only been about 4 days maybe. I'm naturally a horny person and I feel it's even more so now that I'm pregnant. Unfortunetly I have a DH who for some reason lost his crazy mojo a while back. I think something is wrong with him and he needs to see a doctor. Because he use to not be like that, but for about a year now, if I were to wait for him to come onto me, we'd probably never have sex. So I have to initiate it all the time. It use to make me mad, but I just get over it now, because I have to have it! Wink

    only 4 or 5 days...that was because DH was had a cold and was afraid to even sleep in the same bed w/ me.

    A week. It was more touchy in the first tri. Cervix was sensative. But now things feel back to normal.

    In the first tri, we would go maybe a week. Now that I'm in 2nd tri, we have sex every few days.

    Since conception...I'm 20 weeks.  I have zero desire to have a penis anywhere near my body....especially my vagina.  How awful is that?  My husband and I never had a super active sex life to begin with (a couple of times a month) so it hasn't been a huge sacrifice.  This is ridiculous though...maybe I'll go home tonight and get some nooky!
