So, we had been using a service with prefolds, just switched to BG3s in the past couple of days and now Alyssa has terrible diaper rash. Could she be having a reaction to the material? something else (we did just start avocado)?
Also, I know you're not supposed to use cream because of repelling issues, so what do you use instead?
TIA!
Re: diaper rash
You can use some creams - I've been using California Baby on DS and it hasn't caused any problems.
What kind of detergent are you using? I'd wonder if that could be the problem.
I cut up piece of flannel and put them in the diaper before using cream.
DD starting getting bad diaper rashes around the time we switched to formula. Not sure if that had anything to do with it but that was my though. It would go away and come back a few weeks later. Last weekend we treated it like a yeast infection and I think it might be gone this time!
We use Planet on the diapers (Arm & Hammer in regular wash). I did stick in a flushable liner to try to dilute the bad effects of the cream although I know that isn't foolproof
