Don't become a Teaching Assistant...

.. especially while pregnant... it just makes your hormones worse than they already are. I've already had to fail three people this week... and I'm on student 15 out of 98.

Example of fail: Listen to an example of music and give your thoughts (in detail) of what you are hearing and how it affects the piece.

Answer from a failed student: "Stevie Wonder is blind... that's so weird that he can still play the piano. I put on a blindfold once, and it was weird. Props to him."

    Wow.  That would make me not want to do it either!  Didn't you say last week that these were grad students??

    I'm actually the graduate student... i'm grading undergraduates... but still! You made it into college, and are supposed to be in it to get a degree... but at this rate, there is no way these people are gonna make it!

    OMG I'm so afraid of this next year.. I start my grad program in the Fall, so at least I won't be pregnant. I put in a request to work with professors I really enjoyed- one teaches Phonetics and the other teaches Anatomy. Students have a tough time with both and I'm guessing I'm going to get my butt kicked on long hours trying to help people understand after I haven't slept in a week.?
