Viva are you here?

I have a question for you.

Re: Viva are you here?

  • LOL - I must have read your mind. Haven't been on since this morning and just had the urge to see what I've missed!

    What's up?

  • I just got on myself. J is napping & the it's the only time I get to nest, lol.

Anyway,  what you're going to do furniture wise. Are you going to buy the baby new furniture or buy Mia new "Big girl" furniture? I don't know what to do. When we first bought J's furniture we bought it with the intention that it will grow with him but now I'm thinking we should buy him all new furniture & give the baby his old furniture. Just wondering, what you'll be doing. Thanks

I hope you're feeling well. When's your next dr's appt.?

  • We kind of lucked out in this area because Mia's crib was recalled and we received a voucher for a new crib which we used for the new baby. Mia has been sleeping in a "rigged" crib in the meantime. (Zip it!) The recall was for apparently easily breakable slats and we've had it converted into a daybed for quite some time so it doesn't really apply IMO.  Her changing table will to into the new baby's room and we'll get a larger cheap dresser for her until she's a little older and we decide to replace her set all together.

Not that I was REALLY into the whole nursery decor thing last time, but this time I could really care less! Mia will get a few new "big girl" decorations and we'll use the few "theme" items we had for her in the new nursery. I guess since I see how quickly Mia outgrew her "baby" stuff, I have no desire to go wild with furniture and decorations until both are a little older. I'm anxious too to see the sex of this baby so I'll have a better idea of whether they'll share a room at any point and want matching furniture/bunk beds, etc.

All is good here otherwise. I have my glucose test and monthly appt on Thursday. I slid down a few steps last night (everything is fine) but otherwise things have been pretty uneventful. The most exciting thing going is Mia's potty training!

    How about with you?

  • Wow, Mia is potty training. That's great. J doesn't want anything to do with the potty. He's not even tempted with treats.

Omg, I'm glad to hear everything is okay after your fall. I would have been a panick freak. So we both have dr's appts. on thursday. I have my level 2 & I hope this baby cooperates. It's driving me crazy not knowing the sex. Will you have another ultrasound soon? Are you going to ask the technician your baby's gender again? Did you check out the chinese gender chart here on the nest? What does it say you're having?

Good luck with you're glucose test.

  • Oh awesome! Good luck! I hope your kids don't take after mine! Stubbornly modest (pre-birth only though!). Make sure you post the results!

It's wasn't a bad fall at all. Maybe I should have lied in order to get another U/S! LOL   I think we're just going to have to be surprised. I'm too cheap to pay $200 for a 3D and too lazy to contact radiology schools to see if they need people to practice on. Guess I'm just meant to be surprised!
