thirsties aio leaking, help!

We are using the thristies aio in our rotation for DD, they seem to be leaking around the legs (and they are on tight).  Thoughts on why this might be happening?  She is ~11lbs and we have her in the XS.  Is there a doubler that might help?

You could try adding an insert to the pocket.

I'm sorry I don't have more to offer than that - we never had any luck with the Thirsties AIO.  It leaked every time for us.

  • We always had leaking around the legs with our Thirsties AIO too.  It ended up being a last-resort diaper.  Sorry I'm no help!
  • Ditto pp - I'd add an insert.  Our Thirsties AIO's don't work for us without an added insert, which makes them a bit of a PITA, in my opinion!!

  • Mine always leaked as well, even with adding inserts, etc.  I think they just aren't great diapers.  I sold them.
  • I had this problem too though my mom can get them on everytime - no leaks.  Her secret Is to get the inner elastic right up close to the groin,  you have to pull aside their baby fat chubby lon his egs and tuck it in there.  The plus it makes for a very trim fit.

Ditto everyone else.  We never had any luck with ours either.  I'm sad too because I liked them aside from that pesky aspect!
  • thanks!  when we first used them we had no problems and now that i bought a few (used thank goodness) they are leaking some.  I guess I will try an insert. If that doesn't work i'll sell them :-(
