So, a month or so ago I asked all of you if you knew anyone that was told the wrong sex at their big u/s. A few of you did and some said that they hadn't heard of that happening since the 90's. I personally said that I knew 2 ppl that this has happened to. Well, I took one of my boys to the pediatrician the other day.She asked if I was finding out the sex and I said, "no". She kind of laughed and said maybe that was better sometimes. Apparently the little baby GIRL that was in the next room was NOT supposed to be a baby GIRL at all based on the U/S. Then she told me how shocked I would be if I actually saw how many patients they had that were "supposed" to be the opposite sex. Just an interesting tidbit for you to mull over.
*sidebar* - I think I can verify w/o a meidcal degree though that JELS is definitely having a GIRL based on her ultrasound. That little girl was NOT shy about showing what her Momma gave her!
Re: We've talked about this before but I found this VERY interesting.
I'm still not 100 percent convinced by ours. We had a hard time getting her to open her legs and on the DVD, there are a couple times that it looks like something is poking out. There are no 3 lines on the "money shot," just the two legs with nothing between them shot. Plus she was super curled up through most of it and the technician never said "It's definitely a girl," just "It looks that way..."
We have a 3D/4D on April 24. I will feel better once we see it on that one! haha!
If this happened to me I'd be real salty!! I understand nothing is a 100% certainty but to go through the second half of your pregnancy thinking your baby is a boy then when you deliver it's a girl, it is a bit shocking, considering I will have decorated a nursery toward one specific sex and people will probably buy me tons of gender specific clothes. Although, I am registering for all gender neutral items.
I would probably get over it quickly though, just happy to see meet my babe!

it's trickier for girls.
i'm pretty confident my kid is a boy, though. shot for those interested in the blog. it's quite the shot.
I agree..it all depends on the shot. I have a girl crush on you and your beautiful family KLD, but I'm just getting so frustrated with everyone telling me my girl might be a boy. Of course I know that, a little boy could turn into a girl too, I just wish people would let me enjoy my girl whether she ends up being a girl or not (in the end, it totally doesnt matter, I just want a healthy baby). If its a boy, I just have to take back the girl clothes, everything else is neutral. The room itself is being painted a celery green. That being said, I got a fabulous shot of my girl's parts and I looove my sono tech.
Sorry, this isnt really directed at you KLD, its just every day there has been a post on how the girl could be a boy and not to be excited yet. That isnt really the angle you were taking, im just defensive after yesterdays "PSA: Warning to team pink" or whatever it was called.

I'm pretty certain that I'm having a boy... it surely LOOKED like a penis between his legs. See below (even though a bit blurry):

Efortune, you've got to stop taking personal offense to this post!!! It was something my husband told me about, and I thought it was important for people to know - because it is possible that some people might not know that when they are told one thing, it could turn out to be another!
I certainly did not post my warning yesterday just to upset you - if you are confident that you are having a girl - than that's fantastic! Some people get a great shot in their ultrasound and they know for sure - that is wonderful! However, not everyone does. It was merely a warning to be careful if you aren't 100% sure. I'm not trying to make you not enjoy your girl - I'm just trying to help others that might be in a different situation than you are.
I certainly hope that you don't think that each and every post on this board is directed specifically at YOU.
