Scary moment at the doctor this morning

At my 13 wk appt, my dr. found the baby's heartbeat right away...we're talking instantaneously. This time, it took forever! I felt like I was laying on the table for an eternity, and I got so scared. It was taking so long that the dr. started making small talk to ease the tension. Then finally, we heard the woosh, woosh, woosh. Thank goodness!!!! The heartbeat was strong at 155 bpm.

Other than that my appt wasn't too exciting. I gained a total of 1 whooping pound so far, but my dr. said as long as I am eating a lot he isn't worried. I am tiny, which runs in my genes. My mom had trouble gaining weight too when since was pregnant with me, and I turned out ok!

Same thing happened to me at 13 and then at 15 weeks. Scared the crap out of me and my husband. It felt like the doc was looking for the hb for an eternity. But like you said - whoosh whoosh .......

that happened to me my 11 week appt. she couldnt find the heart beat so i was a little disappointed but then at my 15 week appt. it took forever! i was so scared i was on the verge of tears... they she found it and i started laughing i was so happy! :P And i lost weight from being sick.. but everythings good she said it wasnt a big deal and not to worry.
