I am kind of freaking out right now. I was making lunch for the little boy I'm watching and ate a few pieces of deli salami while cutting it up for him. Then I looked at the bag it was in. I was purchased on Feb 7th...so like 1 month 3 weeks ago.
Should I be worried? My mom said deli salami stays good for a long time. It didn't taste weird or anything.
Thanks and sorry if I'm freaking out over nothing.
Re: Lunchmeat question- but not that kind.
I wouldn't worry. There isn't much to be done about it now, anyway!
Salami does keep longer than most other lunch meats. If it smelled and tasted fine, it was probably fine.
don't worry about it. really . . . salami does last A LOT longer than say turkey, ham, etc . . .
I, personally, wouldn't keep it that long, but I would't freak out. You'll be ok. I dont' think I'd feed it to the kid your watching though. haha!!
He already had a few pieces by then as well.
