Lunchmeat question- but not that kind.

I am kind of freaking out right now.  I was making lunch for the little boy I'm watching and ate a few pieces of deli salami while cutting it up for him.  Then I looked at the bag it was in.  I was purchased on Feb 7th...so like 1 month 3 weeks ago.

Should I be worried?  My mom said deli salami stays good for a long time.  It didn't taste weird or anything.

Thanks and sorry if I'm freaking out over nothing.

  • I wouldn't worry. There isn't much to be done about it now, anyway!

Salami does keep longer than most other lunch meats. If it smelled and tasted fine, it was probably fine.

  • don't worry about it. really . . . salami does last A LOT longer than say turkey, ham, etc . . .

I, personally, wouldn't keep it that long, but I would't freak out. You'll be ok. I dont' think I'd feed it to the kid your watching though. haha!!

He already had a few pieces by then as well.  Tongue Tied
