While we still have a few months, I was thinking that Sydney hated sitting or walking in the sand when we were at the beach in Florida last month. Anyone have this happen and they grew out of it? How long did it take? I thought we would get good use out of a parking pass but if Sydney hates the sand it won't work well.
Re: Anyone's DC hate the beach (sand)?
Thanks elm... I think we'll just keep trying. She had shoes on for most of the time but even sitting on the sand didn't work. I also tried having her sit on a blanket and she still wasn't happy.
We'll practice in the sand box this spring.
Hopefully the sand box will get her used to it.
We were down the shore for two weeks last summer. The first week, Gina would NOT let us put her down on the sand. Either sat on the blanket, or we held her. Stunk and I was dissapointed.
Then the next week, a little girl about 3 came over to our blanket and asked her to play. She ran off the blanket, and played with that little girl every day for the rest of week. Digging, running, etc. She just needed a little motivation!
