  Even something like this:

  Type out/paste the link into the text box.

  Highlight the text.

  Click on the little link icon on the toolbar up there. The mouseover says "Insert/edit link".

  Paste the link into the Link URL box.

  Click on Link.

  Or you can click on the HTML button and insert it via HTML, which is usually what I do.
